Masters Gravel Race

Rider to rider, elbow to elbow - race for age group title!

What is it?

The Masters Gravel Race gives men and women the chance to race on a level playing field, against riders of their own age. And there’s a British Gravel Master’s Champions jersey on offer for every age category. And for 2024 we have added a 19-34 age group.

Riders will compete on multiple laps of a new route through Suffolk’s beautiful King’s Forest.

The new circuit will still be all off-road, on hard-packed and loose gravel, grass, dirt and sand through Suffolk’s beautiful King’s Forest. The tracks are wide enough for bunch racing and overtaking, making for a dynamic day’s competition.

You’ll set off in age group waves, racing four laps of the circuit. Riders will need to have started their final lap within 2 hours of the start.

Who’s it for?

If you have a competitive streak but can’t compete with the Elites, this is your chance to be part of the national championships, and you never know, that masters age-group jersey could be yours.

You don’t have to be British to race, but only British passport holders are eligible to win the British Gravel Masters Champions jersey*.

Age groups

The British Gravel Masters Championships will feature the following age groups for both Men and Women: 19-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80+.

A rider’s age group is defined by their age on December 31 in the year of the event.

*If a non-British rider finishes in the Top 3, there will be two podiums after the race, the first for the British Gravel Championships, the second for the race which will include any foreign riders in the top three.
